November 20th 2024 | As a nod to November, Epilepsy Awareness Month*, our Inclusion Team prepared a Neurodiversity Awareness Event!

We included an informative jeopardy covering some of the many neurodivergent brain functions (Mental Health; Epilepsy vs Seizures; Autism and ADHD) under the neurodiversity umbrella term, and invited Dr Leong from the School of Psychology to speak about Autism and ADHD.

(Neurodiversity is not an official medical term, and between communities, its definition may or may not include mental health disorders.)

  • The jeopardy game includes definitions, myths and misconceptions, similarities and differences, and for us School of English students - figures/cases in history, and, representations in works and media.

    • credits to the EDI Head for the jeopardy creation, who may or may not have been hyper-fixating herself when compiling the information.

  • A major thank you to Dr Leong for helping with the Inclusion Team's first event and enlightening us on the myths and misconceptions surrounding Autism & ADHD!
